Yes, we already have government health care. Just ask all of the servicemen and women who use the VA. Now, if politicians really want to see how much it'll cost and how well it'll work, just provide health care to ALL veterans and their families, except those dishonorably discharged. Yup. Government run health care = VA. Think about it.
