Repubs, Dems, Independants, etc. It does not matter. AS Walter Burien pointed out, they ( the Corporate Government ) have been pick-pocketin all of us for decades. They write the laws remember. They are the ones voting on legislation to pursue their interests.Who wrote the laws so US companies can move to Asia more easily? The US government; the same bunch of pick-pockets that wrote NAFTA; the same bunch selling 'their assets' to foreign companies. They are unloading their expenses by doing this.
Its socializing the costs and privitizing the profits.Has the US government built YOU any bunkers? Or has it made sure that they survive and leave you with duct-tape? Ha.
The US citizen ( or should I say the US consumer ) , is expendable. We are all expenses in varying degrees. Even moreso now that many many jobs are gone forever. This leaves a burden on the government. The 'tax' the government is not their sole income. Its investments and much of that ( as Walter clearly points out ) is derivatives.
But of course the US public has been pacified with credit usage. We dont really HAVE the wealth , we just PRETEND we do. But even this is now catching up.
